These are Victrix Romans I bought and painted 2 or 3 years ago. Unfortunately, I only managed to paint a few before I was hugely distracted by the Greeks that Victrix produced. Now, 300 odd painted Greeks later, I am trying to return to painting these little chaps. So far I have painted and re-organised about 40+ but have a lot more to do. Unsatisfied with 120 Victrix Romans I also had to buy 72 Warlord Games Romans as well. My excuse is that I am trying to fight Caesar's Civil Wars. Eventually. I have some superb Numidian Cavalry from Victrix that I have painted up and they look spiffing (photo to follow soon) and I've also bought some Iberian Cavalry (Victrix again) which I have put together but not started to paint yet. All in all I have a lot to paint and need to get on with it!

All of these figures are from Front Rank and are Austrians and Prussians from the Seven Years War. I have about 700 of them altogether and need to get them out more often for games. Unfortunately, I had a mishap with some Army Painter that I put on them and it picked up some flock I had foolishly used for basing and spread some of the small pieces of the flock on to the figures effectively welding the flock to the figures. Very, very annoying. As a consequence, I need to revisit them and do some magic on them if I can. Having said that, I think they look quite good in these photos.
Baccus 6mm
These figures were given to me for Christmas by my eldest step-son, Matthew. He has rather a lot of the allies and I was more than happy to be the French, so here we are! This is my first ever foray into 6mm and far from finding the painting daunting I really enjoyed it which I wasn't really expecting. It is much, much quicker than painting 28mm figures and you can paint a great deal in fairly short amount of time. I am looking forward to having a game with Matthew (where I will no doubt be annihilated) and to revisiting the Napoleonic Wars which I have neglected for a long time.
And for those who are interested, the 28mm figures in the background are Marlburian Danes by Ebor Miniatures.
This is a bunch of Fireforge figures which I have painted up for the Second Baron's War. It took me quite a while to warm to these figures as I wasn't quite sure I liked what I saw of them on the Fireforge website. However, a friend had some and I liked what I saw of them in the flesh so bought some. And then I painted them! Here is the result. I was very happy with the way they came out and I am planning on having a game with them sometime soon.
